Our team at CPI recently attended a conference in Newport Beach, CA, where dealers with Konica Minolta gathered together for inspiration and vision. To start things off, President and CEO of Konica Minolta Business Solutions (KMBS)Rick Taylor delivered some great statistics to display how far the company has come since 2010. Taylor compared the Konica Minolta's numbers with the competition's spanning over the last 9 years, and the growth is unmatched!
Later in the conference, Todd Croteau, head of All Covered gave us insight on the latest endeavors in the Konica Minolta IT division. Todd asked our very own, Heather Brown, to speak of the success CPI has had with All Covered, attaining 1-2 deals per month. All Covered contains great benefits for the Konica Minolta Dealers as well as customers who partake in any of their turnkey IT & Managed Voice services.
A crew from Konica Minolta's European division showcased the developments they have made in robotics. This technology was created to be helpful in many different capacities and businesses, especially healthcare environments. The robotshave great cognitive abilities and have been created to assist and interact with the needs and requests of a patient or doctor. This is just a small taste of what Konica Minolta Laboratory in Europe is working towards, while partnering with a hospital in Italy. Technology and strategic partnerships make it easy to envision a limitless future.
WorkPlace Hub is another product that was presented to us during the conference, and this is an interesting product with almost endless capabilities. WorkPlace Hub truly displays what limitless means in a piece of office technology because of it's potential and power. Within the Workplace hub there are many capabilities including, managing and hosting networks, tools for collaboration, telephony, network security, and so much more. "Workplace Hub connects your different technologies so they work for you. It's one complete system that adapts to you, giving you the freedom, ease and power to unlock your potential" (Konica Minolta).
Lastly, Alice Receptionist has been designed to be placed directly in the reception area of any business, school, or healthcare establishment. The program takes a photograph of the person, then prints a badge for them with necessary identification. In addition to the initial interaction, the system will also alert whoever is needed that their meeting has arrived. To take it a step further, the system can also do a spot background check before the person is allowed passed the reception area. There are so many options and preferences that can be shifted to meet the needs of any business or school.
Watch the Video below for a more in-depth explanation of Alice Receptionist.
North Hopkins ISD has a tradition of excellence and high expectations for learning with contemporary technology tools for their classrooms. They have cultivated a culture of excellence that is strategically focused on providing innovative tools and interactive applications to engage their students at any level or learning style. Their school was actually one of the first in Texas to provide 1:1 Macintosh devices for their students several years ago. Dr. Jolly and his team are always seeking strategies to improve their school and personalize each student’s learning experience.
It seems as if the whole school could agree that having the new Promethean boards from CPI has shifted the way the children are learning and retaining lesson material. Getting students actively involved in the learning process is easy because of the touch screen capabilities of the Promethean board. The software allows students to get hands-on experience in classroom material- learning is no longer a spectator's event.
In an interview with CPI, North Hopkins' ISD Superintendent, Dr. Darin Jolly spoke highly of the transformation that their school has experienced since implementing over 30 Promethean boards into their secondary school. He explained that student engagement has “quickly escalated since [their] recent installation and implementation of [their] 75 inch Promethean boards in all secondary classrooms in December of 2018.” Dr. Jolly explained that “peer to peer collaboration has advanced cooperative learning strategies with Promethean split screen options and scientific apps for dissection.”
“I’m thankful for the great relationship that North Hopkins ISD shares with CPI of Sulphur Springs, Texas. From the onset, CPI came to our district with extreme measures of customer service, asking “How can we help you?” from technology advancement, copy/print operations, document storage, and even safety considerations with security cameras on campuses and buses. As an alumnus of North Hopkins High School, Heather Brown has firsthand experience and perspective for excellence in our school, heightened now as a parent of three students in our school district. Her personalized perspective for excellence in our school has streamlined our educational advancements with CPI as a result of her authentic care for the best of our students in our culture high expectations for learning.”
